Welcome to the French in Devon website

This site is to keep you informed about the French classes and workshops we run in the Exmouth, Sidmouth and Colyford areas.

Both Linda and Liz offer regular classes at various levels. Linda teaches in the Colyford area and Liz in the Exmouth area.

The autumn series of meetings of the French café - croissant mornings at Syon House in Budleigh Salterton will begin on 7th October 2014. We run the course jointly (Liz Oliver and Linda Jackson) for students from improver level upwards.

Winter term 2014:
We are now taking bookings for the autumn series of café - croissant workshops on alternate Tuesdays from 10am -12pm at Syon House.  You do need to contact us to book a place on the courses!

Activity-based French speaking mornings - what to expect

Many improver and intermediate students feel that they need a kick-start to get going when it comes to being able to use basic everyday spoken French in context. The activity morning workshops provide a half-way house between regular classes and spending time with French speakers in France

- an opportunity to use and practise your French
- put what you know into practice
- enjoy a relaxed, informal atmosphere
- boost your confidence with everyday French
- encouragement and support from two friendly, experienced tutors
- meet and chat with like-minded people
