French Activity Workshops

The first workshop took place as planned on 21st May.

Liz and I would both like to say thanks to all the friendly and enthusiastic participants at the event. There was no need to remind people to speak French as everyone was eager to make the most of their French day! With a very enthusiastic take-up of all the activites, we found that we didn't need any of the extra "if time" ideas we had up our sleeves. Indeed we had to cut out a couple of the main scheduled events! It seemed from the informal feedback that everyone else had had as much fun as we had, and we are looking forward to the next day in July.

Lunch at the pub was easy going and informal (see photos) and Bea and David at the Volunteer Inn round the corner from The Old Convent looked after us in our own "private" dining area. Quite a number of us relaxed over "un petit verre" with our sandwiches.
